So close!!!!

Ahhhhh!!! Cannot believe that our trip is really only 4 days away!!!

We've been planning this thing for a year & it's finally approaching!

These last few days have been all about preparing the last minute details. Today I got our Wave2Go Tickets for the Edmonds-Kingston ferry. ("I have this thing for ferry boats." Ha ha. Any Grey's Anatomy fans out there?)

Also went to the bank & cashed all the coins that we've been saving up for in our "Forks Fund" jug. Came out to $86.50!! Total amount we've saved, scrounged, & fundraised? $796.51 Thank you to everyone who came to our garage sale, ladies night, & all the coins you put in our Forks Fund. You've helped SO MUCH in making this trip work for us!!

1 week!!!

Ladies & germs we're one week away!!!

Next Sunday after church, Nichole & I will have a packed car heading up to Forks, Washington!! Yahooooooo!!!!

T-minus 10 days...

Well hello!

My name is Mandi, & my sister is Nichole. We're both big Twilight fans, & thought it'd be fun to make a road trip up to Forks, Washington to see the sites, & track down some vampires (or in Nichole's case, werewolves).

The purpose of this lovely little blog is to chronicle our activities, adventures, & all the fun that comes along with a vacation, and of course to keep all of our friends/family/coven/pack informed on how our trip is going, where we are, & what kind of trouble we're up to!

Well here we are 10 days from our big trip! Nichole & I are definitely way stoked!!! Since you lovely people have decided to follow us on our adventure, thought a good place to start would be to tell you what we're doing on our trip, where we're stopping, & the things we're hoping to see.

Here's our planned itinerary:

August 1: Leaving from our hometown of Concord, CA & heading up to Redding, CA to stay with our friend (& soon to be ex-roomie :-( *sniff*sniff*) Flea & her family. We'll stay the night there & go explore all the sites!

August 2: Leaving Redding, CA & continuing the journey north to make a stop in Portland, OR for a few hours. Neither Nichole & I have ever been there!

After our quick stop there, we'll continue up to Seattle, WA. Along with our obsession over Twilight, we're also huge Grey's Anatomy fans, so a must-see for us will be Seattle Grace Hospital (Yes, it actually exists!).

My cousin Matt also lives up there in Seattle, so he'll be hanging out with us & showing us around town!

August 4: Leaving Seattle, WA & driving up to Port Angeles, WA where Edward & Bella have their first little date at the little Italian restaurant. Which also actually exists! We'll be stopping at La Bella Italia for dinner, & yes, I will definitely be ordering the mushroom ravioli. :-)

August 5: Leaving Port Angeles, WA & arriving at our destination in Forks, WA!!! Will be seeing the Cullen house, Bella's truck, and going to La Push (gotta find Jacob!).

August 8: Leaving Forks, WA & driving home. :-( Almost a 15 hour drive! Yikes!
