Day Three!

Today we woke up early to catch the 10 am tour of our hotel. Apparently our hotel has been around since the 20's! One of the stories they told us was that Ozzy Osborne saw somebody kill themselves! He saw somebody fly by his window & he called the front desk to tell them to call 911. We got to see the reports & everything! Crazy!

After our hotel tour, we headed down to Pike Place Market. The first stop we made was an adorable antique store. I needed new glasses, so I got ADORABLE vintage 1950's glasses & I'll let the lenses replaced with my own prescription when I get home. We tried on awesome old hats, & wandered around in there for awhile.

We walked around Pike Place for awhile & then headed to get on the Duck Tour! If you've never been on a Duck Tour before it's a giant vehicle they used to use in World War 2 that can drive on land & then go straight into water. It drove us all around Seattle & into Union Lake to cruise around the harbor. We got to see places where Grey's Anatomy, 10 Things I Hate About You, & Sleepless in Seattle were filmed! Our tour guide was hilarious & his name was Chuck Wagon! Ha ha. He had a southern accent & was from Georgia. Awesome!

After that we got some lunch at a place called Zeek's Pizza! Nichole had pepperoni, & I had one with red peppers, basil, goat cheese & garlic. Mm mm mm!

Then, we went to the Space Needle! One of the elevators that takes you up to the top was broken, so we had to wait over an hour to get up there! The view was gorgeous, & it definitely helped that we had a gloriously sunny day here. Still too sunny for any vampire sitings.

After we got off the 605 foot tall Space Needle, we got the monorail across town to go on Bill Speidel's Underground Tour at Pioneer Square. When they originally settled & built Seattle, it was flooding really easily from the water coming in and out. Then there was a big fire, so the re-built the city, but higher up. So they just kind of laid the foundation for the new city right on top of the old. So there's a whole underground system down there! It was kind of creepy, & smelled nasty, but very cool to hear some of Seattle's history.

After a long day of walking the city, we headed over to Pier 57 to eat at the Crab Pot. Nichole & I both got whole dungeness crabs & man they were GOOOOOD. We were pretty silent the entire meal. Lol. So, SO delicious!

Now we're just hanging out in our room, watching hitch, & helping our sore muscles relax!

Enjoy the slideshow below with all our pictures from our very long day of touring! We'll talk to you tomorrow!
